Prof Dr Igor Calzada is deeply grateful to the SGH Warsaw School of Economics (#SGH) for inviting him as #InvitedProfessor next week. This opportunity to engage with such a distinguished academic community is both an honor and a privilege. During his stay at SGH, he contributed to a variety of academic activities that align closely with his research interests in #digitalcitizenship, #AI, and #governance in the #Web3 era. These include:
📌 28th November: Delivering a public conference titled “#Data, #Markets, and #Society: Rethinking Challenges to Stability, Well-Being, and #Democracy in the #Web3 Era” (https://lnkd.in/d-m8nyEu). 📌 29th November: Contributing to a seminar on “Democracy, #Participation, and #Privacy in #SmartCities: Data, Data-Ecosystems, and Citizens’ #DigitalRights” (https://lnkd.in/dSDgcz2p). This session delved into the role of data ecosystems in urban governance, emphasizing citizens’ participation and the protection of digital rights in increasingly interconnected smart cities.

He is particularly thankful to Prof. Dr. Anna Visvizi, Ph.D. for her kind invitation and her continuous efforts in fostering #academic #collaboration with Paweł Wyrozębski and Adam J. Jarosz. Her work in this field is inspiring, and he look forward to the exchange of ideas and future joint endeavors as they did so far in a successful manner.
Actually, there is already one of the first significant forthcoming outcomes here!

These discussions are critical as we navigate the complexities of the digital age. From the societal implications of Web3 to the safeguarding of democracy and privacy, these topics demand rigorous research and interdisciplinary dialogue. Prof Calzada is eager to contribute to this ongoing conversation at SGH. If you are in #Warsaw #Poland or connected to SGH, he would be delighted to see you at the events or engage with you during my time there.
