Chairing Workshop Horizon Europe ENFIELD: Trustworthy AI for Whom? Budapest (Hungary), 14th February 2025

Prof. Igor Calzada, presented physically in Budapest, was set to chair a pivotal workshop in Budapest on 14th February 2025, titled “Trustworthy AI for Whom? Roadmapping Generative AI Policy Challenges Ahead”, as part of the ENFIELD project. The event convened leading scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss the intersection of artificial intelligence, urban governance, and social impact.

The workshop provided the chance to meet cutting-edge research on GenAI through Invited Discussant including Prof Anna Visvizi from the Warsaw School of Economics SGH and Prof Esteve Almirall from ESADE Business School in Barcelona.

Complementarily, Prof Calzada already launched a Call for Papers for an Special Issue in the Journal Transforming Government: People, Process, and Policy (Impact Factor 2.7) entitled Generative AI and the Urban AI Policy Challenges Ahead: Trustworthy AI for Whom?

The workshop explored the critical role of AI in shaping future urban environments, with a strong focus on ethical, social, and political challenges. Attendees engaged in thought-provoking discussions, aligning with Prof. Calzada’s research agenda on AI’s implications for policy-making and social innovation.
